Expect to be transformed By Susan Hodges From start to finish, Gifted engaged my attention and my senses, drawing me into the heart and mind of each character, not just that of the protagonist, Jack. The story is alive, so much so that I experienced a state of flow throughout. I finished the book in two hours.Beyond being intellectually gifted, Jack is adorable, entertaining, innocent, and utterly present, even when he feels otherwise. The way the young characters relate, their family contexts, and their personal challenges and aspirations are true to life - they are complex, sobering, and inspiring.Gifted is also timeless. The themes are universal, and the way the book ends leaves the reader with an awareness that our potential for learning and realizing love and connection is both innate and enduring.This book is well-suited for readers of all ages and all walks of life. Expect to be transformed right along with Jack and his friends!

I was not a child genius like Jack is in this book but his experiances as a teenager at school and particularly his relationship with his parents resonated with mine. I also loved the way that Jack realises that you have to accept yourself the way you are to be truly 'Gifted'. I can't wait for Nishad's next book.

GIFTED - An Insightful Novel By Amazon Customer I started reading GIFTED within couple of hours of it getting published and finished it in few hours flat !I could relate to the story to some extent and I am sure, so will millions of other readers across the globe. Countless people are gifted, but are either shy or do not get the right conditions to shine through. The central character of gifted could well be the boy next door – a young boy struggling to have his own identity while trying to meet with the expectations of his parents, peers and the world at large. The portrayal of Jack’s relationship with his Dad in particular, is touching. Jack goes through a myriad of emotions, right from his early school days, to his first few days in the new boarding school, to the girl he starts loving, to the quiz contest, leading to the final realization and home coming – it is all weaved seamlessly by the author into a gripping and down- to-earth tale which is bound to leave you wanting for more! The fact that the book is written in a simple, straightforward manner makes it easier for the reader to relate to it. Who says simple cannot be beautiful!!
