I'm a busy Mom of 3 who wants my family to eat relatively healthy, but also doesn't want my kids to feel like they're eating sea weed with a side of nothing for dinner. This book was exactly what I was looking for. The recipes are great, some adventurous flavor combinations without them trying to be too off the wall.So far everything I have made from this book has been enjoyed by all of my family and that is saying a lot!!

I really like the introductory sections By Cathy Vogt This is a lovely collection of family friendly recipes with just enough of a twist to appeal to adult taste buds too. I really like the introductory sections, "Know your ingredients" which has a lot of practical information to help in choosing whole food ingredients. There is a little bit something for everyone, The grilled green beans are so easy to make and delicious.

The first section, Know your Ingredients, is informative and matter of fact without making me feel defensive about previous food ingredient choices. I get what is written and it makes sense! Recipes are straightforward and will please when served to family and at social occasions. I'm giving several as gifts throughout the year.
