About the Author Since the author’s home backs up to the Goose Creek Reservoir on one of the back waters, it gives a place to sit, watch, feed and observe birds and other wildlife that a boat alone would not allow. Though a hunting and fishing license is purchased each year, hunting is with cameras; with such shooting, there is no season or limit. The author enjoys his kayak, from which most of these pictures were taken. He also has a tree stand in his back yard for pictures from a different perspective. Carl is a retired minister and retired adjunct College Professor. He has a Bachelor’s degree in biology from Upper Iowa University and an earned Master’s Degree from Olivet Nazarene University.

Such an Incredible source for anyone who wants to know about South Carolina By Lynne Marie I live on the reservoir, having just moved back to South Carolina. There are hundreds of birds and plants I know almost nothing about. I love this book. I will use it almost daily to research what exactly I want to know about this beautiful, hidden resource that few people know about. It's a great reference book just for South Carolina. Love the graphs that tell you when you can see certain plants in bloom or ones who have migrated here at a certain time. One of the best reference books about this beautiful state at our local library. Thanks for taking so many years to make such a detailed account of your life here.
