I like the approach this book takes by suggesting foods to manage the discomforts of IBS rather than medications. There is a list of safe foods to eat as well as best practices to use when starting the Fodmap diet. There are even sample recipes to help the sufferer get started and know what to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert. The recipes are delicious by the way.

She insists that you need to be gluten free if you are going to follow the roadmap diet, which is contrary to what I have read and been advised by several doctors. She also includes in her suggestions foods that can be triggers for people suffering from IBS, such as cheese, apples and almonds.
