The jammers are starting to move behind us as I veer toward her. I lower my right shoulder. She sees me at the last second. I smile as her eyes open wide. I get speed, lean in deep and hit her. My jammer, Brute, slides up my left side. I see the opposing jammer shimmy through the wall and I give chase. Silly rabbit, no one gets past the Warface. Not tonight they don’t. ~

A Mystery for non mystery fans By Michael I received Warface in exchange for am honest review so right up front I should tell you that I'm not a big fan of mysteries. They always bore me and the characters are usually props for the big reveal at the end. All sizzle but no steak. I can't tell you how many mysteries I've started and gave up on. Warface is different. It's a mystery and doesn't try to be anything but a well crafted mystery. Nelson evolves the story in such a way that you become so engrossed in the mystery that you even try and figure out who the kidnapper is before the novella ends. At a mere 95 pages Warface is a quick but enjoyable read. What surprised me was how tame it was. I've read titles from Morbid Books before and this was a straight up mystery with very little violence or even a hint of horror or bizarro. It's a well written book that any mystery fan will enjoy. I'm becoming a huge fan of Morbid and lately it seems as if they can do no wrong. Warface is a nice addition to the roster as well as a solid read.
