1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Excellent recipes and more By Israel Drazin As the title indicates, this is a special book, for three reasons. It gives readers wonderful kosher recipes - vegetarian and meat – that are beautifully photographed and displayed. My family tasted the foods and found them to be delicious and we enjoyed viewing the compositions, artwork, and color of the displays in the book. But, there is more. The book is dedicated with love to the children of Shanti House in Jerusalem. And so added to the satisfaction with the food, there is the feeling of joy in helping one’s fellow men, women, and children. And the book also prompts a joy in celebrating the Shabbat in a communal setting. The book is a treat for the layman and well as established "Chefs," and while it focuses on Jewish food and celebrations, non-Jews will also gain much from reading it.
