After the holidays, I was feeling the need to incorporate some healthier options into my diet. My life is pretty busy...and realistically, I knew that I do not have the time to cook anything, so I needed to take a simpler approach. Lo and behold a friend of mine mentioned the juicing option and recommended this book. I went ahead and purchased the book and I am so pleased with it. There is a good variety of recipes with accessible ingredients and straightforward instructions...nothing pretentious or complicated (I don't know why I had this notion about juicing literature in general). I am a meat and potatos kind of person; I purchase my food at the regular supermarket (I refuse to wake up early on a weekend to go to a farmers market), I consume carbs and use regular sugar in my coffee...so I guess I was looking for a gateway into a healthier diet. This book is a great starting point for me...in addition to the recipes, there is a nice prologue that explains the benefits of juicing written in a way that gets you excited an motivated to add the juices to your diet. If eating and being healthier is part of your goals..this book is a great tool to help you accomplish this goal.
