About the Author Bili Morrow Shelburne grew up in the heart of the Kentucky Bluegrass region where she developed a love of horses and the outdoors. She received a B.A from the University of Louisville and an M.A. from the University of Kentucky. She spent twenty years as a teacher and college instructor, primarily teaching writing and language arts, before leaving the academic world to become a full-time writer. She now lives in Houston, Texas with her attorney husband where she writes, practices her golf game, plays the piano and travels extensively.

By Gayle Cline I've purchased the previous novels written by Bili Morrow Shelburne and found them to be expertly written and Collateral Justice is no exception!She is a master at describing characters and in this case, I was hooked by the end of the first chapter! Honestly, I found myself picturing them in my head and imagining how they would develop as I turned each page.I'm not a speed reader but enjoyed the story line so much that I finished this one in 2 days.Collateral Justice has a well developed plot with the most interesting cast of characters!As with Shelburne's other books, she finds a way to draw you in to the plot and maintain your interest from start to finish. She is legitimately the real deal- an authentic, intelligent, talented, southern lady.I hope she's got another novel in the works because I find her work to be both refreshing and captivating.

I have read & enjoyed all 3 of Bili Shelburne's books By bettnott I have read & enjoyed all 3 of Bili Shelburne's books, but have found this one to be my favorite. I love the writing style of this author. The plot of Collateral Justice is not so easy & predictable that you can guess the resolution (if there is a resolution!), yet not so complicated that you get lost or have to take notes to follow. It is a well developed story with authentic settings, emotions, & experiences. The characters are so well described & developed that you feel you know them. You are wrapped inside the compelling plot dealing with old friends & an old flame, conflicting values, family unrest, & unusual beliefs & practices you never thought you would experience. Like all good things, I was sorry to come to the end - I just wanted to keep enjoying it!
