Perfect ending to a fantastic emotional dark romance By JB's Book Obesssion Blog Blinded by Fate (The Ugly Roses #3) by Harlow StoneThe conclusion of Elle Davidson’s journey to redemption and justice for her family and herself was bursting at the seams with emotion. It was overflowing with edge of your seat excitement you won’t be able to put it down.Elle is tough woman she is not used to asking for help but she’s learning and growing throughout the last year. With the help of Ryder and the friends, she’s made along the way she may finally be able to put the past behind her and live.I don’t want to give too much away because the whole series needs to be read in order to appreciate the unique and wonderful plot.I can say that Elle’s story is one of tragedy but also one of healing and hope. This final installment answers all the questions that the first two books did not. The twists and turns in this one will leave you speechless. I cried on and off throughout the book but the last few chapters really had me grabbing the tissues.The author really did the characters she developed so well justice in this book in so many ways. From book, one to book three you will not be able to get enough of these amazing characters as Elle’s story ends, only to lead her in a new direction of love, hope, and joy for a brighter future.This series was my first from Harlow Stone and I look forward to reading more from her. I am hoping for future books on all the men of Callaghan Security Denny, Cabe, Finn, Hunter, and Maverick. I bet Ivan has a story to tell too. I know Elle’s friend Jimmy has to have a few stories to tell up his tattooed sleeve as well.I never read a male character with so much raw emotion. Ryder Callaghan has become one of my favorite book boyfriend's. His love for Elle is so deep and so strong I felt it in every word he said to her and in every with he did for her to help make her whole again. He loved her scar's and all.Though it takes a lot of time, dangerous situations, and heartache to get there, Ryder and Elle get to the place where they are meant to be. By Kerry L This series has been phenomenal!I was up all night finishing this third and final installment of the Ugly Rose series and it was SO worth it! Harlow Stone wrapped up everything in this series completely and for that I can't thank her enough. Of course this is bittersweet as Harlow has hooked me well and truly with these characters she has created that I can't help but want more. I have a feeling though that this is not the end, simply the beginning of what could be an amazing set of books that the Callaghan Security team will be stars of. Denny, Cabe and Maverick are certainly characters I can see having their own tales to tell (I'm hoping Denny first!) and I am sure the brothers Hunter and Finn could provide some fun and mayhem. I also think Jimmy and Ivan could be in a future novel! Hint, Hint Harlow!That being said I am sure we have not seen the last of Ryder and Elle but even if we have, Blinded By Fate has so completely placed all the puzzle pieces together and explored the beautiful relationship that Ryder and Elle have fought hard for that I am satisfied with where they are left. Once again this book is a suspenseful, dramatic and such an emotional read that I yet again needed tissues at hand to get through the book.Such a beautiful finale to an exceptional and incomparable series that it is going to be hard to find anything that is quite as unique. This is a series I will want to read again and again.....bravo Harlow!

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Ahhh....Perfect! By Sparkymom This was the most perfect ending for this series. Both Elle and Ryder have changed so much. I love the little family they have built around themselves with Ryder's security guys. Elle, especially, has become so much stronger and so much more open. So many things happened in this story. I kept thinking, wow, that's a great ending, only to have something else happen. Like the first two books, this one was extremely suspenseful and gut wrenching emotional. What kept me hooked the most though was the deep emotional connection between Ryder and Elle. His refusal to give up on her has made him one of my favorite book boyfriends ever. I can't wait to see where the author goes as she spins of this series. I really want to get the story on Denny. I hope he's next!

Really tasty recipes By Sally H I have currently started on the Keto diet and got this mainly for the recipes within it but found that it had a lot of useful information regarding the Ketosis and what is exactly is. I really liked the way the recipes were set out with detailed instructions and lots of illustrations to help with this. I have already tried doing the Chicken Casserole and this was delicious and so easy to make. Great book even if you aren't on this diet just to give the recipes a try.

I usually am very happy about a purchase but that wasn't the case for this cookbook. I was expecting Awesome and I was very disappointed.... It is just good. The recipes and book were fine. I have gotten a Awesome cookbook that was hardback and was a dump cookbook and good recipes that was $10.00.

A Magical Story By w flower The story is written as if it is a fairy tale, but is almost a parable (a simple story told to illustrate a moral message). Readers can see that the seventh child is about Michael Jackson.The art work by Siren is absolutely beautiful - she has wonderful drawings of Michael. The cover and photos used are amazing. Brenda Jenkyns has written a very magical story -suitable for all ages; especially for Michael Jackson fans. It almost could be a bedtime story.I find that I have gone back over the book to read it again several times.I have several favourite passages. "He had a depth & serenity in his eyes that spoke of ancient wisdom" (page 7). also "Everything about him was a demonstration of kindness, understanding and love for All."This book is a "must have" read for any Michael fan.

It actually suggests a scene in the climax. I thought that the beginning, where the stage is set was a little laborious. Since it takes place in the future, more had to be explained, after all, it's a whole new society and game are being described. The technology sounds like something that could very well be in the future. The friendships portrayed made me jealous that I don't have friends like that... But it is fiction, isn't it? I wasn't bothered by the graphic description of the violence because no one was really being hurt or killed (Except a couple of guys who deserved it). I won't spoil it for you. This is a pretty good first effort from a new author.

I wouldn't advertise myself as a "gamer", or even very "techy", but I was able to understand the story, and was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it. 5 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Extremely disappointed By luvcupcakes I ordered this book with great excitement, which quickly turned to great disappointment. My first attempt was the Vanilla cake. I was very surprised this cake recipe called for 11 eggs. Eleven!! Six whole eggs, plus 5 egg whites. Since we love vanilla cake I felt it was worth a try. After purchasing natural butter flavor, granulated erythritol, and nonfat greek yogurt to name a few of the ingredients, I set to work making this cake. The steps were easy enough and it looked good in the process. After baking it for 60 minutes as specified, it looked like it was going to be pretty good. Once the cake cooled in the pans as instructed, I then set about removing the cakes. The first cake came out okay, but as stated, it is a delicate cake so some pieces of the cake fell apart. I then tried to frost it with the chocolate frosting (also in the book), but the frosting was so darn thick that I had to thin it out in order to frost the cake which was falling apart with every scoop of frosting. The chocolate frosting did not taste good on its own, but I hoped by pairing it with the vanilla cake it would shine. I then attempted to place the second cake on top of the other and major pieces of it fell apart. By this time, I was just slapping on the frosting and no longer cared how the cake looked. If it tasted good who cares how it looks especially for my first try. I took one bite of this cake and immediately knew this was not going to be acceptable. I then had my husband taste it and he suggested I throw the entire thing out and try another recipe. What a waste of ingredients - almost a dozen eggs down the drain along with the expensive erythritol. This cake had the consistency of a pound cake and I cannot describe the taste as it was just awful. I don't know if it was the erythritol and if that is an acquired taste?The following day I pulled the book out to try the chocolate chip cookies. That was fast and easy to put together, however, the batter came out like pancake batter rather than cookie batter. I tried adding a bit more oat flour but knew that would be changing the composition of the flavor. The instructions state to roll the dough in your hands and flatten it. Well, if it's like pancake batter it's already nice and flat. I did not waste any of my newly purchased sugar-free chocolate chips since to this point the batter was not correct. I took a sample taste and knew this batter was not going to magically transform into something delicious out of the oven. I ended up tossing this in the disposal.I'm very disappointed in this cookbook. I came to read reviews to see if anyone else had anything to say about the recipes and no one has really stated anything except "I'm going to give these recipes a try" or "this is the way I bake so I'm excited" words to that effect. I hope in the future reviewers will be more specific as to which recipe was successful for them. Again, I wonder if baking with erythritol is an acquired taste? Jessica of this blog seems like a very nice person and I hate to give such a negative review. I will not be baking anymore from this book and have placed this book for sale.I wanted to try the nutella recipe, but I think I'll pass. Vegan Corner on youtube has an excellent nutella recipe that I'll stick with.

Two Souls Meet and Move On By Daniel Logan A story about an encounter between the spirit of a woman who died in the mid-1800s who is bound to a home destined for destruction and a man salvaging architectural treasures from old homes who is bound to his own past--youthful memories, a lost job and an unreconciled divorce.As each character develops an understanding of the other, they realize they share the same limitations but are not willing to confront them in order to become free of them.Meyer's ethereal description of the spirit brings her to visual life in the eyes of the reader in a way that they accept her and emphathize with her dilemma.His vivid portrayal of the climactic scene the evening of the protagonist's reunion and the dramatic event that follows has the reader crawling through the wreckage of a collapsed barn along with the two main characters in a desperate attempt to save a life.The dramatic ending is a wonderful parallel of the two finding the courage to move on, each in their own way.

Meyer has a knack for developing characters as you begin to understand their history, motivation, and struggles throughout the story. In this book the town's personality, growth and struggles are just as well developed as the the characters. The book mixed in some history, struggles of a small town's changing identity along with believable people and relationships.

About the Author

After 7 years as a professional body piercer in Camden, Gizzi Erskine decided to pursue her life-long dream of being a chef. I love that her books give you options for clean, healthy eating without resorting to fad diets and flavorless substitutions. I'd say her recipes are global comfort food with a bit of a glam twist. I'm dying to try the black velvet cake with champagne frosting!

This is a non-fiction collection of family recipes passed down to me, the grand daughter, of Flora Amussen Benson, She was an amazing cook and loved to bake for her family. These are some of Grandma Benson's favorite tried and tested recipes. Flora, or Grandma, was the ultimate homemaker. She loved to make her home a bit of heaven. The holidays were a special time at the Benson home. Most of these recipes would be prepared and devoured at Christmas time. Being the wife of Ezra Taft Benson, she often entertained heads of states and other dignitaries in her home. She was busy when her husband was called to be President and Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved to cook and prepare the most delicious dishes for her family. Being her granddaughter, I loved her home and her cooking and her hospitality.
