About the Author Marcel Paquet (1947–2014) obtained his doctorate in 1978 from the Free University of Brussels with a thesis entitled La différence des penseés de Kant et de Hegel dans la question de l’essence de l’art. My copy is an English-text copy. Not sure why they are not consistent. This is a good coffee table book with lots of fun Magritte art (many of his lesser-known works, which is nice).

It is not super large and glossy, like some, but pretty decent, There is a small amount of text that describes the painting, but not a lot, which is just what I wanted. It is very reasonably priced for what it is.
