Electric pressure cooker gives us chance to cook healthy, delicious meals in no time at all. There are many benefits from prressure cooking like cutting the cooking time in half, all the ingredients remain inside..The mani advantage is that it saves cooking time from start to finish.There are useful tips for safety, that one has to keep in mind, advices on maintence and cleaning are useful, too. Recipes include tomato chile pork chops, cherry sauced pork chops, meatball stew, braised pork..All recipes include ingredients and instructions to be prepared. Nice and useful, at least for me.

I really like the recipes By Charmz I have this book loaded on my kindle and refer to it often as I am preparing meals in my electric pressure cooker. This book gives history and explains pressure cooking. I really like the recipes...they are simple and with the new knowledge of pressure cooking, I can now go out on my own and create my own pork recipes. I've been cooking up a storm in my pressure cooker that had been on my shelf for over a year and wasn't being used. So thank you for getting me going!

Kleiner I found this first novel by Gherlone enjoyable and easy to read. The story involves a New Hampshire father grieving over the death of his young daughter, a corrupt government in Washington and a national lottery that investigates historical events. There is an unexpected twist at the end of the book. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Read it, I predict you'll like it! CBK

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Kept Me On The Edge of My Seat! By BookJunkie "No Place to Hide" certainly lives up to it's name. This book was fulled with suspense that kept me up late into the night, I didn't want to put it down because I just had to know what happened next and considering I had to work the next day that tells you something right there. I took out ten chapters a night which landed me at ending the book in four days and most likely, it would have been read even faster had I not had to work. Throughout the book the main characters, Ian and Jackie, were running for their lives as the back of the book states. The constant game of cat and mouse really entertained me. It reminded me of the cartoon "Tom & Jerry". The mystery takes you on just about every ride you could experience in a suspense novel. You never could guess what was going to happen next. This was the first book I have read by the author and I will be reading more from her. I really did enjoy this book. There are two other books in this series so everyone who reads this knows, personally I didn't read the first two before this one, reading them isn't a must but I would recommend it because some of the characters from the other books were included in this one and I found myself wanting to know what happends in their story but as I said, it isn't a must. Everything made plenty of sense to read it as one book and not a series. What I loved about Jackie's character, even though she didn't have any faith at all in God at the start, shewouldn't abandon her friend, Ian. She stood by him and helped him fight it out until the end. (Whether it is a bitter ending or not, you'll have to read it to find out.) I really liked the story & the characters as well. I personally would recommend it to anyone who loves a good suspense novel, though one thing I have to say is, if you are sensitive to shooting and yes, killing, this might not be the book for you because there is both. I didn't mindit but it depends on the person. All in all I give this book four stars! I received this book from Revell Publishers for my honest review, which I have given. I was not required to write a positive review and have not been compensated for it in any way. All opinions expressed are mine.

Enticing but don't expect deep spiritual truths By reader No Place to Hide by Lynette EasonWhen I picked up this book I realized it was called a romantic suspense book but it was also listed as a Christian book. I was shocked at how much violence was in this book. True it was tuned down, not a lot of gory detail but still violent. People get shot in the eye, a whole family with mother, father and teenage children are killed point blank. Even that bit of detail for me is too much violent detail for a faith based book. The murders kept coming in this book.My other bone to pick with this book is that God is not brought into the picture until near the end of the book. And even at that point the references to Him are not fully developed. For example one character asks, “Why did you hold on to your faith and I didn’t?” I found the response rather flippant: I guess it’s just different personalities.I felt this book was an exciting thrill ride but lacked the moral fiber to hold it together as a spiritually uplifting book. The main character asks some good questions about faith and trusting God and who God is. But I found the answers given to her lacked conviction and substance. In real life if I were given those answers I probably would not pursue looking into Christianity.It was also unfathomable to me how the one character was portrayed as having a strong faith and walk with God and yet he proposes to someone who still barely offered a prayer. And her prayer was offered during a life threatening experience. Prior to that prayer she was still bitter, doubting God, had not surrendered her heart to God or begun a relationship with him. The Bible speaks of being unequally yoked and this book just moved too quickly and unrealistically from point A to point B.In short: Yes an enticing, entertaining read but don’t expect deep spiritual truths or “aha” moments in this story.I received this book free from the publisher and was required to write a positive review.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. No Place to Hide By Lollipops NO PLACE TO HIDE is the third book in Ms. Eason’s newest series, Hidden Identity, but it easily stands alone. Fans will want to read No One to Trust and Nowhere to Turn though. NO PLACE TO HIDE is different, in that neither Jackie nor Ian are police or FBI (though Jackie is a former officer). Different, in that the hero and heroine are the ones running from the police—and they are wanted for terrorist attacks and murder.Ms. Eason is a very talented author. The writing was stellar and I can’t imagine the amount of research that went into this—and Ms. Eason’s brain-waves must be interesting to study as she came up with this detailed, scary, biological threat romantic suspense. I knew who some of the bad guys were, but when I though I knew who the top person was, he was taken out… so that left me starting over trying to figure out the master-mind behind it. And when it was revealed, I was surprised.The faith message was weak, the romantic tension between Ian and Jackie was weak, but the threat and the fear were tangible. I was almost freaking out during the black moment. I think I might be afraid to go to sleep tonight…If you are a fan of romantic suspense, you might be interested in NO PLACE TO HIDE.

Feared the epilogue.  Glad I wasn't disappointed.  KOBO: 5 STARS - A Heartwarming Romance - A perfect book on a quiet evening or with a hot cup of tea (or preferably, hot chocolate!). This romance built slowly, passionately and was all-encompassing. I would recommend this book for someone who wants a light but touching read, that incorporates hilarious and entertaining (and sometimes tragic) secondary characters and a fantastic hero and heroine pair! Above all, you will fall in love with Melissa, her story and personality, and how she deals with unfortunate but irreparable circumstances. I don't want to give away too much, but I enjoyed this book tremendously, and would recommend it to all romance lovers.

The devotion of a mom, the faithfulness of a good friend, the commitment of another, and the joy of God's work in each of their lives as the story progressed just warmed my heart. Characters are treated with understanding, humor, and compassion. Good doesn’t always win out, and honorable people sometimes behave dishonorably. But the author's belief that everyone does their best even when their best is often petty and despicable makes the reader believe this, too. The glue that binds the stories together is the sense of hope the author instills in her characters. This hope is the gift that saves them from despair as they struggle with grace and dignity to make sense of their imperfect world.

About the Author Linda L. Dunlap began her second career as a fiction writer in the late eighties after a successful career as a registered nurse. Her first story, "I'm Here, Mr. Sullivan," was published by Pencil Press Quarterly in 1987. Since then, she's had numerous short works published in literary and university presses across the country including The Crescent Review, Florida Magazine, RE:AL, Timber Creek Review, and Savannah Literary Journal. She was awarded artist's fellowship grants from the Florida Department of Cultural Affairs in 1996, in 2000 and again in 2010, and her short story, "Goldenrod" was nominated for a Pushcart Prize in 2010. A native of Georgia, she now lives in Winter Park, Florida and tries to write every day.

It is a well written, interesting, exciting tale which can be read with pleasure for its story alone. However, while joining Sarah on her quest, you may find yourself thinking who or what is your own Dark Lord and how the many people you have known have helped or hindered you on your own journey along the various paths, taken or not taken and if you have reached your White Mountain or are still on your personalQuest.This book is far more than just a simple fable. I liked it and will reread it over time. (But who is Tarra and why is she so important? Perhaps a sequel?)

I didn't want to put it down and when I was done, I wanted more. I've shared it with friends, ranging in age from 60 to 90. They all claimed to enjoy it. Some have bought it for their grandchildren. My grandsons have read it. The 9 year old is re-reading it. The 7 year old wants it to be a series. I think that is a great idea.

About the Author

Many of you have watched Claudine Pépin in partnership with her father, world-renown chef, Jacques Pépin, preparing delicious meals and sharing cooking techniques on Public Television. All three of their series have received the notable James Beard Award. In addition, Claudine has had numerous television appearances including "Cooking Live with Sara Moulton,""Good Morning America," and "Multo-Mario." Claudine and Jacques Pepin appear together for a final cooking series "Jacques Pépin: Heart & Soul."

With an undergraduate degree in Political Science and Philosophy, and graduate work in International Relations from Boston University, Claudine spent a great deal of time in the wine industry. She spent two years as the 'Brand Ambassador' for Moet & Chandon and Dom Perignon Champagne in New York while also teaching food and wine pairing for both the French Culinary Institute and the Sommelier Society in New York.

In 2002, Claudine was named "Woman of the Year" by the Academie Culinaire de France - Filiale des Etas Unis. She continues to do television as well as events including The Metropolitan Cooking & Entertaining Show, and the Aspen, Newport, Kohler and Pebble Beach Food & Wine Magazine weekends and is a guest instructor and host for Food University which tours nationally. Claudine, her husband Rollie, a Faculty Member at Johnson and Wales University in Providence, along with their daughter Shorey, and two mischievous cats, have relocated from Colorado to Rhode Island.

Her philosophy for food is closely tied to family. Claudine cooks at home almost every day, believing that sharing a meal with family and friends, eating, laughing and spending time together at the table is one of the most enjoyable and rewarding things in life. My daughter has enjoyed it as much as I have, and I love that the facing pages are French and English equivalents so we can explore a bit of French language together as we cook. Bien fait!

I loved reading the history behind some of the recipes and about growing up eating people food not kid food. I agree wholeheartedly with much of what Claudine says, like seasons should be taken into consideration when cooking main dishes, “No one wants to eat a heavy and hot meal when it’s hot outside.” French and English, a great idea and I enjoyed the colorful illustrations. Love the cauliflower souffle and many of the other recipes, they are sure to become favorites at our house. I need to order a second book, one to use, one to keep.

Although it is targeted to children, the recipes are engaging for all ages and will stimulate children to not only cook, but to eat their creations. They may even learn some French along the way. The book is so well thought out, beautiful quality, lovely illustrations by Jacques (and Claudine's daughter Shorey too). It's a book that is meant to last and inspire for years. So, stop watching cooking shows and spend time in the kitchen with your children and this lovely book.

About the Author DEBE GUNN loves creating beautiful music for the world, while capturing the world’s beautiful faces with her camera! Her journey began as an internationally touring saxophonist and keyboardist—preparing for her true calling: Songwriter! I expected beautiful photographs, but the accompanying poetic lyrics from songs she has written adds a thoughtfulness where I ended up spending a little time with the people on the pages. It was like putting on the breaks in the middle of my multitasking life. I love the pictures and the beautiful words.

Page after page, it is full of beautiful pictures of humans all over the world. If you love diversity, you will LOVE this book. The picture of the newborn on the front cover was an awesome idea. The start of a beautiful face straight out of the womb. Nice! Highly recommended.

About the Author Baron Wolman began the music phase of his photographic career in 1967, as the very first photographer for the new Rolling Stone magazine. He went on to capture the 60s pop rock explosion, including: Janis Joplin, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Bob Dylan amongst many more. "I see myself as a kind of voyeur ... I'm happiest when I'm invisible and watching. I just love to watch. I'm a chameleon and can adapt myself to the situation, and that, to me, is one of the gifts that I was given naturally, and that's how you get honest pictures."

I really wanted to learn more about the adventures of these women in that time, but this really didn't go into that. It was more along the lines of light profiles of individual girls with very little insight or substance. It looks like it would be so much better than it was. :(

Marie Spartali Stillman (1844-1927) was one of a small number of professional female artists working in the second half of the nineteenth century. She was an important presence in the Victorian art world and closely affiliated with members of the Pre-Raphaelite circle, modeling for George Frederic Watts, Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Edward Burne-Jones, among others. Desiring an artistic career of her own, she trained with Ford Madox Brown. After marrying the American painter and journalist William James Stillman, she lived in Italy, where she was deeply influenced by Renaissance art. This fully-illustrated catalogue provides the opportunity to examine approximately fifty of her works, many of which reside in private collections and have not been shown since Spartali Stillman's lifetime. Three essays and individual entries for each of the featured works focus on Spartali Stillman's biography and creative output.Jan Marsh is a freelance biographer, cultural historian, and exhibition curator specialising in Victorian art. Next to experiencing the show in person (which was wonderful), this catalogue is a must-see and must-read for anyone wishing to gain a better understanding of this historically groundbreaking Victorian artist whose unwavering work ethic and love for what she did propelled her through decades of art making "in a man's world".This publication is intelligently written (Jan Marsh and Margaretta Frederick!) and the reproductions are clear, LARGE and as true to color and detail as I've seen (I can attest to this having seen the work close up). Not to sound like a commercial, but you cannot beat the price. A large, hardback art book of this quality and importance is simply not to be found for under $50. Add this to your library. It is readable, informative, unique and most enjoyable.
