Ridgway Leonardo has produced a great book with step by step examples of how to draw realistic gemstones, water drops, rocks, flowers etc. It makes a great resource of ideas to improve you drawing techniques, and has a good section on materials and how to use them to the best advantage.

Budding artists can receive some ideas and techniques from this book; however I think the content is more geared for pencil artists that are drawing at an intermediate to advanced level. I purchased this book based on the artists instructional videos, as an addition to my art library and based on the contents.

Steps are easy to follow, but leaves a few to your imagination. Not a bad thing, but for someone who needs absolute instructional layout may be frustrating. The book covers everything from materials to technique to instruction!
